★★★★★ “The sea view was amazing and yoga and meditation was so great.” — Jasmine, Ibiza 2025 ★★★★★ “Nothing negative to say — truly magical.” — Wanda, USA ★★★★★ “The connection Jana creates is incredible. She teaches awareness of each movement, each breath.” — Dita, Mallorca
The first thing you see when you open your eyes is the sea. The last thing you see at night is a sky full of stars. Four days. Everything in between is the retreat.
October 1–4, 2026. Hostal La Torre — a cliff above the western sea, the most famous sunset location on the island. Yoga every morning on the terrace. Pilates. An Ayurveda workshop that gives you a daily rhythm you’ll actually keep. Sea kayaking along a coastline most visitors never reach. A conscious hike through Ibiza’s most authentic landscapes. And on one evening — a telescope, a professional astronomer and the sky.
Most people come to Ibiza for the parties. You’re coming for something else.
Maximum 12 guests. All levels. All genders. The kind of small group where you arrive alone and leave with people you actually want to see again.
There is no pool. There are rocks that drop into the Mediterranean and in early October the water is still warm. That is a better offer.
What This Retreat Is Built Around
Every other retreat in Ibiza is built around a venue — a villa, a finca, a pool. This one is built around something you can’t replicate indoors: the actual rhythm of the day.
Morning energy is expansive — yoga and Pilates when the body wants to move and the mind is clear. Midday and afternoon energy is active — in the water, on the trails, inside the landscape. Evening energy is quieter — sunset, stillness. Night energy is vast — stars, perspective, the kind of silence that resets something deep.
This is Ayurveda in practice. Not as a philosophy — as a daily structure that your nervous system already knows and has been waiting to return to.
You will leave with more than a memory. You will leave with a morning routine that takes ten minutes, a body that feels used well, sleep that is deeper than it has been in months, and the specific, quiet confidence that comes from four days of doing exactly what you needed.
This works for you if:
- You have been running too fast for too long and need more than a weekend to actually stop
- You want to move your body without being pushed to perform
- You want to travel somewhere genuinely beautiful without navigating it alone
- You are comfortable walking 6–10km on varied terrain
- You want to come home with something practical — a routine, a rhythm, a clearer head
This probably isn’t for you if you want a luxury spa holiday with a yoga class on the side, an advanced practice or a detox programme. That’s not this — and we’d rather you know now.
The Setting — Hostal La Torre
Hostal La Torre is not a spa hotel. It is something better: an authentic, character-filled clifftop hotel on Ibiza’s wild west coast, above the open Mediterranean.
Every yoga and Pilates session happens on the terrace with the sea below. Every sunset happens here too — on Ibiza’s west coast, which means they are among the best in the Mediterranean and in October they are slower, lower and more golden than anything summer manages.
There is no pool. The hotel is built on a cliff. When the sea is calm — which in early October it usually is — you jump from the rocks directly into the Mediterranean. The water is still warm.More than the yoga. More than the stargazing. Just jumping into the sea.
The restaurant serves excellent Mediterranean food. The rooms are simple, comfortable and quiet. The terrace is where everything happens.
Getting there: Ctra. Cap Negret, 25, near San Antonio — 10 minutes by car from San Antonio, 25 minutes from Ibiza Town and airport. Transfers available on request.
The luxury of a small group
Twelve guests is not a marketing number. It’s a deliberate choice.
It means the pace, the sessions and the day adapt to the actual people in the group — not a fixed programme designed for an imaginary average guest. It means if someone needs a slower morning, we slow down. If the sea is perfect for jumping from the rocks at an unexpected moment, we jump.
A small group is flexible in a way that larger retreats simply cannot be. It also means something more personal: by day two, Jana knows your name, your yoga experience and what you’re carrying. That level of attention is only possible at this scale.
This is what you’re paying for when you choose a retreat of this size. Not just the yoga, the kayaking, the sunsets and the stars. The quality of attention. The ability to actually be seen.
What’s included in your 4 days
• Yoga — moving with the season
Led personally by Jana — certified yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience, known for sessions that adapt completely to whoever is in the room. Vinyasa-influenced: movement linked to breath in a flowing sequence that is accessible for beginners and has depth for experienced practitioners. Morning sessions are dynamic. Evening sessions are slower and more restorative. October is Vata season in Ayurveda — the programme is built around that energy.
• Pilates — the structural foundation
The combination of yoga and Pilates is consistently cited as one of the most sought-after pairings in retreat programming — yoga provides the breath and flow, Pilates provides the structural precision. The Pilates sessions focus on core stability, spinal alignment and deep body awareness. Mat-based, all levels.
• Ayurveda — a daily rhythm you can keep
Not a lecture. Not a detox. Ayurveda as a practical framework for daily life — when to eat, how to move, when to rest, aligned with your constitution and the current season. October is Vata season: dry, light, mobile. The practices that counterbalance it — warmth, routine, grounding — are simple, effective and immediately usable. You leave with the knowledge of why certain times of day feel harder than others.
• Kayaking – the island from the water
The coast of Ibiza from a kayak is one of the most beautiful perspectives on the island. The pace is slow. The route is chosen for its scenery. It is the kind of movement that feels so good you forget it counts as exercise. All levels. Licensed guide present throughout. Approximately 2 hours.
• Conscious hiking – inside the landscape
The most memorable retreats combine yoga practice with genuine immersion in the natural environment. The hiking route follows the cliffs and pine forests above San Antonio — away from the tourist paths, intentionally paced, designed to quiet the mind rather than raise the heart rate. Licensed guide with deep knowledge of the island.
• Stargazing – perspective that lasts
A professional astronomer. A telescope. A dark sky above Ibiza in early October. Through the telescope: star clusters, nebulae. Things that have existed for billions of years. Adventure and the natural environment create the conditions for insight, awareness and perspective.
• The sunsets – non-negotiable
Hostal La Torre sits on the west coast. Every evening the sun drops into the Mediterranean directly from the terrace. In October the sunsets are slower, lower and more golden than summer. They are not an activity. They are the daily reminder of why you came.
A note from Jana
“The people who say ‘I’m not flexible enough for yoga’ are exactly the people yoga is for. Flexibility is not a prerequisite. What you need is curiosity and a willingness to breathe. I’ll take care of the rest.”
— Jana Vanhees, certified yoga & Ayurveda teacher, 20 years experience

The Daily Rhythm — Sunrise to Stars
This retreat is structured around the actual rhythm of the day.
Not a timetable. A natural sequence — the same one the island has been following for thousands of years.
Day 1 — Thursday October 1 · Arrive & Ground
4:00 PM — Arrival and welcome at Hostal La Torre. Find your room, feel the sea air, walk to the cliff edge.
5:00 PM — Gentle opening yoga — a Vata-balancing flow to release travel tension and ground the body after being in transit.
6:30 PM — Opening circle and Ayurveda introduction. What is your dosha? How does the season affect how you feel? What simple changes to when you eat, move and rest make everything easier? This is the foundation that runs through everything else.
8:00 PM — Welcome dinner together
Day 2 — Friday October 2 · Move & Explore
8:00 AM — Morning yoga and Pilates fusion on the terrace. Vinyasa flow moves into Pilates core work — the combination that wakes the body and mind together. Sea below. Sky above.
9:15 AM — breakfast with sea views
11:00 AM —Conscious coastal hiking. A guided walk along the cliffs above the sea — sea views, pine forests, natural silence, forest therapy.
Rest
5:00 PM — Afternoon yoga/pilates session
7:00 PM — Dinner & Sunset
Day 3 — Saturday October 3 · Water & Stars
8:00 AM — Morning Pilates & breathwork. Core strength, pranayama, morning sea views.
9:15 AM — Breakfast with views
11:00 AM — Sea kayaking tour along the coastline. Through sea caves, past hidden coves, along cliffs that can only be reached from the water. Guided by a local expert. All levels. No experience needed. This is real Ibiza.
4:00 PM — Yoga/Pilates session
5:00 pM — Ayurveda workshop: daily self-care rituals. You leave with a written guide. These are the ten-minute practices that change how the day begins.
7:00 PM — Dinner & Sunset
8:30 PM — Deep sky stargazing with telescope. Professional astronomer. October sky: Pegasus, Perseus, the Pleiades, and on clear nights — the Andromeda galaxy, 2.5 million light years away. You look at a sky full of stars and the thing you were worrying about before you came — the email, the meeting, the noise — feels very different.
Day 4 — Sunday October 4 · Integrate & Close
8:00 AM — Morning yoga — integration flow.
9:15 AM — Breakfast with views.
10:30 AM — Closing coastal hike to fill the senses
2:00 PM — Brunch at the hotel, closing circle. The programme closes.
A Note on the Schedule
Times are approximate and the day adapts to the energy of the group and to the weather. If the weather shifts, we shift with it. The activities are all there — the order may not always be. This is intentional. A retreat that responds to the people in it is always better than one that doesn’t.

About Jana
Jana has lived on this island for over two decades. She knows where the trails go quiet, which rocks to jump from and exactly when the light turns gold above the sea. She is a certified yoga teacher, Ayurveda practitioner, forest therapy guide and NLP coach — and a licensed tourist guide in Ibiza.
What makes her different from other retreat leaders is not the list of certifications. It is the combination of depth and accessibility. Twenty years of practice distilled into sessions that work for complete beginners and experienced practitioners simultaneously. Ancient Ayurveda frameworks translated into morning routines that fit into modern daily life. A presence on the mat and on the trail that creates the kind of space where people genuinely relax — often for the first time in a long time.
The most valued retreat leaders are those who are genuinely present for the entire experience — not just during sessions. Jana is with the group throughout the four days. Every meal, every hike, every evening. That is the offer.
Ready to book your retreat?
The sunset at Hostal La Torre in October is something you don’t see twice in exactly the same way. Neither is the group — twelve specific people, that specific week, that specific sky.
If you have been putting this off, this is the moment.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you book. Still have a question? Reply to any email or message Jana directly on WhatsApp..
Do I need yoga or Pilates experience?
No. All sessions are adapted to whoever is in the room. Complete beginners are as welcome as people with a regular practice. You need nothing except comfortable clothes and a willingness to move.
Is this retreat suitable for men?
Yes. This retreat is open to all genders. The programme works for anyone who needs to stop. Men join equally. The small group format makes it easy to arrive alone.
Can I come alone?
Yes — and most guests do. Twelve people is small enough for real connection. By day two the group has the dynamic of people who have known each other much longer. Solo travellers consistently describe this as one of the best aspects of the retreat.
Is there a swimming pool?
No. Hostal La Torre is on a cliff above the sea. When conditions allow — and in early October they usually do — guests jump from the rocks directly into the Mediterranean. The water is still warm. It is, consistently, the moment guests mention first when someone asks about the retreat.
What fitness level do I need?
You should be comfortable walking 6–10km on varied terrain for the hiking day. All other activities — yoga, Pilates, kayaking, Ayurveda workshop, stargazing — have no fitness requirement. The retreat is active but not athletic.
What is the stargazing experience?
On two evenings a professional astronomer joins the group with a telescope. October’s sky above Ibiza is exceptionally clear. You will see the star clusters and — on clear nights — the Milky Way in extraordinary detail. It is the moment guests talk about most when they describe the retreat.
Can I join for just one day as an Ibiza resident?
Yes. A full day including morning session, Ayurveda workshop, lunch, afternoon activity and sunset dinner is €180. The stargazing evenings are available as a standalone for €45 each. Message Jana on WhatsApp — day visitor places are limited.
What if the weather is bad?
Ibiza has over 300 days of sunshine per year and early October is one of the most reliably beautiful months. If the sea is rough, kayaking adapts to a coastal walk. Stargazing moves to the following evening if cloud cover prevents it. Yoga and Pilates are on the covered terrace — unaffected by weather.
