Yoga Retreat Ibiza October 2026 — Everything You Need to Know

I get asked this question a lot: is it still worth coming to Ibiza in October?

The honest answer — from someone who has lived here for 20 years — is that October is when I like this island most. The sea is still warm enough to swim. The flights are significantly cheaper than summer. And the west coast, where I run my retreat, looks completely different without the August crowds.

Let me tell you exactly what a four-day yoga retreat in Ibiza in October actually looks like.

yoga by the sea Ibiza

The practical things first — because they matter

The sea temperature in early October in Ibiza sits at around 24°C. That is warmer than most European beaches in July. You can swim, kayak and sit on the rocks without a wetsuit. This surprises almost everyone who has not been to the island in autumn.

Flights to Ibiza in October cost a fraction of what they cost in July or August. You can often fly from London, Amsterdam, Paris or Madrid for under €100 return. For a wellness retreat, the total cost of coming to Ibiza in October is genuinely comparable to a weekend in a UK spa hotel, with a very different outcome.

Daytime temperatures average 23–25°C. The evenings drop to around 18°C — perfect for the kind of slow dinners and long conversations that happen naturally at the end of a retreat day.

Where the retreat takes place

Every session takes place at Hostal La Torre, on Ibiza’s west coast at Cap Negret, just outside San Antonio.

Hostal La Torre themselves describe it as “one of the most special spots on the island” — a boutique hotel perched directly above the sea, surrounded by Mediterranean nature, with panoramic views over the open Mediterranean. The hotel sits on the wild coastline of San Antonio, offering the perfect setting to connect with the sounds of the sea, the breeze and the enveloping peace of the place.

This is not a resort hotel with a conference room yoga class. The mat goes down outside, directly above the water.

The location also means we are well away from the club zones that give Ibiza its other reputation. If you have ever wondered whether Ibiza can really be a place for a genuine wellness retreat then the answer from the west coast in October is an unambiguous yes.

Ibiza yoga

What the four days include

The retreat runs from October 1 to 4, 2026. Here is what the programme looks like from the inside.

Morning yoga and Pilates — every day, adapted to the group. I teach this myself, personally. If you have never done yoga before, that is completely fine. If you have a daily practice at home, you will find the sessions both familiar and different. The sea view and the morning air change something in how the body moves.

Sea kayaking — along Ibiza’s coast, where the limestone cliffs drop into turquoise water and the only sounds are the paddle and the sea. In October the stretch of coastline is almost completely empty.

Conscious coastal hiking — on authentic island routes that most tourists never reach. As an official Ibiza guide, I take the group to the parts of the island I genuinely love.

Ayurveda workshop — practical, personal and designed to leave you with something you can actually use at home. Not a lecture. A real session that gives you tools for daily life.

Stargazing with a professional astronomer — one evening with a high-powered telescope under the Ibiza sky. In October the conditions are  exceptional.

All meals — breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea, packed lunches on hiking days, dinners together. The food at Hostal La Torre is Mediterranean, seasonal and genuinely good.

What people come back saying

The guests who join this retreat consistently say the same things.

They sleep better. Not just during the retreat but for weeks afterwards. They feel physically lighter in a way that is not about weight but about tension they did not realise they were carrying.

“Nothing negative to say — truly magical.” — Wanda, USA ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The sessions were challenging but accessible. I left feeling stronger, calmer and more connected.” — Jenny, Germany ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yoga by the sea in Ibiza

Frequently asked questions about yoga retreat in Ibiza

Is Ibiza warm enough for a yoga retreat in October?

Yes. Sea temperature in early October is around 24°C — warm enough to swim, kayak and spend time outdoors comfortably. Daytime air temperature averages 23–25°C. Evenings drop to around 18°C. It is genuinely warm, not cold.

Is Ibiza suitable for a yoga retreat or is it too party-focused?

The retreat takes place at Hostal La Torre on Ibiza’s west coast — well away from the club zones. The retreat centres for yoga in Ibiza are located away from the club scene, and you experience Ibiza’s natural beauty and spiritual energy rather than its nightlife. In October specifically the island is quiet, local and entirely conducive to a contemplative retreat.

Do I need yoga experience?

No. Every session is adapted to whoever is present. Around 70% of people who come to yoga retreats in Ibiza are beginners or intermediate practitioners. The focus is on how you feel, not how you look doing a pose.

Are flights expensive to Ibiza in October?

October is low season for Ibiza flights. You can typically find return flights from major European cities for €60–120. This makes the overall cost of a retreat here in October genuinely competitive with equivalent wellness experiences in the UK or Northern Europe.

How do I book?

A €200 deposit secures your space. The balance is due closer to the retreat date. Contact Jana directly via WhatsApp  or book through the retreat pages linked above.

Why October specifically?

Ibiza’s waters are perfect for swimming during the months of May to October and the island in early October has a quality — golden light, empty coastlines, warm sea — that is genuinely different from the summer version most people know. It is the month the island becomes itself again.
